About

I am the one you will forget is there

A close portrait in low light. The bride in a red saree, the groom just behind her.
Placeholder. A photograph of Harith belongs here.

I’ve had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember.

I started taking photographs when I was around five, borrowing my dad’s cameras and photographing anything that caught my eye. Back then I didn’t know anything about composition, light, or shutter speed. I simply loved the feeling of freezing a moment in time.

I then spent years assisting and second-shooting alongside photographers far better than me. I carried their bags, watched how they worked, learned to read a room, and discovered that some of the best photographs happen when nobody knows you’re taking them.

In December 2020, I photographed my first wedding.

And I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’m always looking for the moment before it happens — the laugh that wasn’t posed, the glance that lasted a second, the tear someone tried to hide, and the little pieces of chaos happening just outside the frame.

My eye is sharp, my fingers are quick, and I can tell a story with a single camera.

But a wedding happens everywhere at once. So when needed, I bring a team of 1–3 photographers to make sure we capture not just the moments you planned, but the ones you never knew happened.

More eyes. More moments. One story.

And after all these years, I still get that little nervous feeling on the way to a wedding. I hope I always do.

Because your wedding happens once.
Your memories shouldn’t.

The practical part

Family groups are the one thing I will organise rather than observe, and I do them gladly. Quickly, in one place, from a list we agree beforehand. Fifteen minutes, not an hour. You will want them in twenty years even if you resent them on the day.

I work all over the island and will travel further if you are getting married somewhere else. Poruwa ceremonies before six in the morning, churches in the rain, and one wedding where the generator failed halfway through the speeches and everybody carried on by phone torch. That one was excellent.

I only take a limited number of weddings a year, so that each one gets the whole of my attention. If your date is free I would like to hear about it.
